Just Be Blog – March 2016
What’s been happening?
So February was self love month here at Just Be Holistic Therapies and to encourage my clients to practice self care at home, I ran a competition over Valentines Weekend on my facebook page. Entrants had to tell me what they were doing for themselves for Valentines rather than other people. Thank you so much to all those who participated. The lucky winner was Ciara Joyce who won the Just Be Me package and visited last Tuesday and wrote a lovely review about her experience. Thank you Ciara, it is always lovely to see you at Just Be Holistic Therapies.
There is a lot happening in March, both in and out of the clinic. Bookings will continue as normal at my clinic but I will be out and about at 2 events. Firstly, 8th March speaking at SUCCESS IS SIMPLE Conference in the Castletroy Park Hotel and sharing my story ‘Let’s Just Be – a story of personal change’. Then on 10th March, I am returning to a place close to my heart to work in UL at their Health & Wellness Week. Employees will have the opportunity to try Reiki and I’m really looking forward to sharing my passion with so many people at both events.
We can’t forget about Mothers Day and Easter, so if you would like to treat your Mom, yourself or someone else you love to a luxurious relaxing experience at Just Be Holistic Therapies, please contact me on 086 896 8409.
March Case Study – Bipolar
Life can be very hard for some people particularly those who live with Bipolar. I work with ladies who are looking to find some confidence, joy and light in their lives. I help and support them by showing them techniques that can help ground them. I’ve mentioned Reiki before which is very appropriate for Bipolar as it is non-evasion for the person. We also work on techniques that they can use at home between treatments. It brings me so much joy to see a troubled person smile again and feel that they can have a happy future. Aromatherapy is also used during treatments by burning essential oils which again the client can use at home.
March Top Tip
Have you heard me mention Epsom Salts??? I’m sure those of you who know me definitely have. I generally give each client an Epsom Salt blend with essential oils to use at home which is customised just for them to use in the bath or as a scrub in the shower. Another great way to use Epsom Salts is a foot bath to ease those arching feet after a hard day at work, running around after the kids or walking around the shops. Try this yummy blend.
Take a tablespoon of milk and add 1 drop of Benzoin, Cypress, Lavender. lemongrass, peppermint and rosemary to 200 mls of Epsom Salts and add to a basin of warm water and soak your feet for 10-20 minutes. Enjoy in front of the TV or while reading a book before bedtime. Bliss!
