I’m beyond excited to tell you that the Just Be Clinic will reopen on Monday, 29th June 2020.  You can BOOK NOW online or call/text 0868968409.

I know some of you are just as happy to be getting back to some normality but there will be some changes before and when you arrive at the clinic.

1. if you feel unwell or have been in contact with a confirmed case of Covid-19, please wait at least 2 weeks before booking your appointment.
2. I will confirm the day before your appointment by text, but again if you feel unwell I would advise cancelling your appointment.
3. On arrival I will meet you at the door as before but no hugs or hand shakes and you will be asked to sanitise your hands.  If you wish to wear a mask please do, but it is not necessary.  However, I would ask you to bring your own drinking water for after your treatment.
4. As a practice, hygiene standards have always been top priority but you will notice that I will be wearing PPE to protect myself and you from the risk of any cross contamination.  We must remember, that there is still no vaccine or cure for Covid-19 so maximum precautions will be taken as per government guidelines.
5. The room will be ventilated during your treatment so please wear warm comfortable clothing.
6. A break between appointments will be necessary to clean down any surfaces that may be contaminated so please be patient if there is a delay between appointments.

Most importantly, you will feel comfortable and secure as before when you visit the Just Be Clinic and rest assured I will take care that you relax and get the maximum benefit of your treatment.

Coping with Anxiety

No matter who you are or where you live on the planet at the moment, we are all dealing with the Coronavirus.  I’m a ‘half glass full’ type of person and when chatting to my Mum the other day, I mentioned to her ‘you’ve been through worse, you were a child during the war’.  She replied, ‘No Yvonne, during the war we had food rationing, but we could socialise and we felt safe’.  This floored me because she was right, our safey is threatened at the present and we are seperated from our loved ones.  But only if we do not follow the strict advice we’ve been given by the government.  We have control over washing our hands and remaining 2 metrers apart.  Think about what you can control at the moment, and your thoughts are one thing you can definitely control.

However, that’s not to say that people aren’t feeling it and anxiety levels are up there, so I’ve decided to share some of my top tips for dealing with anxiety with you.

1. Find a quiet, comfy place to sit or lie down.  Play some quiet, relaxing music.
2. Breath in through your nose for 4 seconds
3. Hold for 4 seconds
4. Exhale through your mouth for 4 seconds
5. Hold for 4 seconds
6. Repeat at least 3 times.
7. Feel your heartbeat or pulse.  Really focus on it by counting the beats for about 30 seconds
8. Let go of any tension you are holding in your body, starting with your head, jaw, face, neck, shoulders, arms, hands, fingers, abdomen, back, digestive organs, hips, legs, feet, right down to you tippy toes.
9. Let go some more….
10. Let go even more… and just rest for a moment.

This exercise can last as long as you wish but try for at least 10 minutes x 3 times a day until you find your natural rhytm and what works for you.  Set yourself a daily plan of things to do in a safe way for you and your family.  Get outside in the garden, read that book you’ve always wanted to read, make a jigsaw (my current activity with my Mum), play games, sing, dance, cook…

Top Tip – 5 steps to Health & Happiness

I recently presented to a group of female entrepreneurs and was asked my Top 5 Tips to Health & Happiness.  So now I want to share them with you and hope you will use them to support your own health and happiness.
1. Prioritise yourself – if you take care of yourself first, others benefit.  Also, what you do, your children learn.  Find time to relax, meditate, go for a walk and have a treatment every 4-6 weeks.  Prevention is better than a cure.
2. Keep it natural – avoid any unnatural chemicals in your candles, beauty products and certainly keep it natural, and if possible organic, when it comes to food.
3. Eat healthy – but be realistic.  Maybe allow a day or two for treats but again keep them natural.
4. Posture – if you work or use a laptop or mobile phone regularly, sit at a table or desk and ensure your back is straight and your shoulders are back.  This will avoid those nasty neck aches.
5. Get out – exercise is great for both mental, physical and emotional wellbeing.  But  be sure to meet like minded people too, even if it’s just a coffee once a week.  Support from others is vital to health and wellbeing.
