What’s Been Happening?

During the summer, I’ve been working on a new website and print material including a brochure, banner and voucher.  It was a very exciting day when I finally received the printed material and the website went live.  Here is the link to the website https://www.justbe.ie and I would love to hear what you think? I really would welcome any feedback that will help going forward.

Autumn has arrived and personally I love this time of year.  Back to routines, cosy jumpers and fires after busy days at work or with loved ones.  September has been exceptional for me ‘out and about’ with work as I have been doing treatments with the International Students starting in UL, then EmployAbilityLimerick for their #disabilityconfidenceproject at Thomond Park and Efone.ie.  The following week I was with Cook Medical for their Health & Wellness Week for employees.  I really enjoy the variety of visiting corporate clients in Limerick as much as seeing individuals in my private clinic. Top Tip – Boredom Jar

So as I mentioned, summer isn’t always our favourite time of year mainly because we don’t have a routine.  So here are some routines to introduce for the summer.  This works whether you are single, in a relationship or have kids and most don’t cost a cent.

  • Get out every day for at least 30 minutes.  It might just be picking weeds in the garden, walking to the local shop instead of driving or talking a scenic walk.
  • Have a boredom jar?  This should include fun, healthy and happy activities but also include small chores.  Click here for some fantastic ideas to put in the jar or get everyone in the house to choose 5 fun and 5 chores.  Pick one every day.
  • Make time for yourself – again, at least 30 minutes a day.  Meet a friend for coffee,  go shopping and treat yourself for just €10, read a book, splash out and go for a relaxing treatment.  Anything you want but it must Just Be for you!

What’s Been Happening?

If like me the summer isn’t your favourite season then you are probably already feeling glum and complaining about the weather and trying to keep everyone happy.  The kids are in front of mobile devices and possibly telling you they are bored.  The reason for all this is they and you don’t have a routine like we do during the rest of the year.  So below in the ‘Top Tip’ section I have outlined some routines to introduce into the household for the summer months whether you are at home, in a mobile home or on holiday.  The key is to involve everyone in the decision making process.

It is also a great time to review your own personal health and happiness.  Have you kept your promises to yourself or did you fall back into old habits?  That’s ok if you did but now try to review where you’re at and reintroduce new healthy and happy habits.  Please remember to take time for yourself, no matter what your circumstances and try to Just Be!
